Abstract

This research examines China’s significant influence on global economic growth trends, particularly focusing on the years 2022, 2023, and 2024. In 2022, China’s GDP growth rate was approximately 3.0%, a decline attributed to strict COVID-19 measures and supply chain disruptions, impacting global markets. However, projections for 2023 indicate a rebound with an expected growth rate of around 5.2%, driven by increased domestic consumption and government stimulus measures aimed at revitalizing the economy. By 2024, forecasts suggest that China’s economy could expand further to about 5.5%, contributing nearly 30% of global economic growth during this period. Additionally, China’s Belt and Road Initiative continues to enhance its trade relationships across Asia, Europe, and Africa, facilitating infrastructure investments that are projected to increase trade volume by approximately $1 trillion by the end of 2024. This dynamic underscores China’s pivotal role in shaping not only its own economic landscape but also the broader global economic framework.
