STRATEGIC ROLE OF STANDARDIZATION IN THE ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT OF UZBEKISTAN
Abstract
Standardization is a key pillar of economic modernization and global market integration. In Uzbekistan, recent institutional and regulatory reforms have positioned standardization as a driver of industrial growth, export competitiveness, and investment attractiveness. This article explores the strategic role of standardization in Uzbekistan’s economic development through a detailed examination of national infrastructure, legal frameworks, and alignment with international norms. It incorporates official data, policy analysis, and sectoral case studies to highlight the challenges and opportunities in building a modern and efficient standardization system. Finally, the paper offers policy recommendations to support the sustainable integration of Uzbekistan into the global economic system.
