Abstract

This article is devoted to the study of types of synonyms and their variants. It analyzes the views of linguists on synonyms and variants that reflect the expressiveness of speech. Synonyms are classified according to their meaning, shape, and relative characteristics. The variability of words is described using lexical and grammatical categories of the language.
