This thesis examines the pivotal role of motivation in the process of learning English as a second language. It explores the multifaceted nature of motivation, encompassing both intrinsic and extrinsic factors that influence students’ engagement and commitment to language learning. Drawing upon theoretical frameworks from educational psychology and language acquisition research, the thesis investigates various strategies employed by educators to sustain and enhance student motivation in the English language classroom. By analyzing the interplay between motivational factors, classroom dynamics, and language learning outcomes, this research aims to provide insights into effective pedagogical approaches for fostering a supportive and engaging learning environment conducive to English language acquisition.
