Аннотация

This paper examines the evaluation and classification of phraseological units, integrating theoretical perspectives and corpus-based observations. Phraseology encompasses idioms, collocations, proverbs, and set expressions that encode cultural knowledge and shape communicative competence. The study evaluates phraseological units across semantic transparency, structural stability, and pragmatic function, and incorporates findings from Uzbek linguistic research to present a cross-culture. Phraseology is a fundamental branch of linguistics that explores stable word combinations such as idioms, collocations, proverbs, and set expressions. The aim of this paper is to evaluate the role of phraseology in linguistic studies, highlight its main classifications, and analyze its relevance for modern linguistics. Through theoretical examination and comparative approaches, this paper provides insights into the methods of studying phraseology and its cultural, semantic, and cognitive significance.
